14 Year Old Plotting Columbine-Like Attack Was Homeschooled - Blog Entry

13 Oct 2007 01:46 PM

Didn't they discover that the Columbine boys had weapons that they'd hid in their own garage at home? Where were those parents?

I hate the statement made above that the shooter wouldn't have been able to get away with it if he'd been in school. A homeschooled student is watched much more closely than a public school student. Their parents are with them most of the time. How much individual supervision is really given in a public school? It's done in groups, keeping a room under control rather than an individual. At home, you're working with individuals.

What a mess.

Hannah Montana - Teen TV Review - Blog Entry

I watched this show for the first time last night and while I found the humor pretty campy, it is clean and it is uplifting. I enjoyed the show and wouldn't have any problem watching it in the future. I also like watching the interaction between Miley and Billy Ray and to know that they really are father and daughter and that they have a good relationship off camera, too.

I think Emily Osment looks so much like her brother, Haley Joel, as to be almost creepy!

Floyd Stirs Up Trouble On "Dancing with the Stars" - Blog Entry

12 Oct 2007 12:26 AM

This is just me being snotty, but you know that's how I am. :)

Floyd is not one of the better dancers in this competition. He does not have the elegance and flair that he needs to be a serious contender. Helio is showing them how it's to be done and that's that.

Floyd needs to buck it up and be a man. Does he not realize that it's America that put him in the bottom two? Why is he harping on the judges (who, may I add, have been more than fair to him) when they aren't the ones who put him in the red light?

Can you tell I'm a little nuts about this show?

It was a fabulous conference, wasn't it? So much to build up families -- I set a lot of goals and saw a lot of things I need to change. But along with that went hope that I can do it. I loved it!

Take Back Your 30 Minutes - Blog Entry

You know, I never ever ever ever thought I'd be saying this, but I'm starting to look forward to my 30 minutes at the gym. If I think it's not going to happen, I get all cranky. Well, I'm cranky anyway, but let's say, more cranky. :)

Study the Articles of Faith - Blog Entry

My daughter is working on her Faith in God award, and just tonight she learned the seventh and eighth articles. Helping her brings back memories of when I learned them, and I am so glad we have our beliefs outlined so simply so we can refer to them again and again.
