I'm just constantly surprised at the things people will choose to get up in arms about. Quite frankly, Jamie and Whoopie's comments make sense. When are these squawkers going to start squawking about something that really matters?

And I really like Whoopi, anyway.

You'd better believe I brainwash my kids! I want them to know what behavior is expected in stores, how to talk to adults, and yes, I want them to know that I believe in Christ and all that entails. Let's have T-shirts made -- "Brainwashing my children, and proud of it!"

Now, I have a question. Memorizing timestables -- isn't that a form of brainwashing?

I hadn't heard about this, but I have watched the TLC programs and been so amazed at the love and the organization this family possesses. If anyone is going to have 17 children and make it work, it's going to be them. Their positive outlook on life and their commitment to each other is truly amazing. I must say, though, I get exhausted when I think about being pregnant that many times. :)
