What if one child decided they didn't want to do math? It would be folly on our part to not teach them math. Unschooling or not, there are things children need to know and to leave them out of the equation is negligence. Believe me, we've had plenty of workbooks go flying across the kitchen at my house. But I know that my children need certain skills in order to succeed, and so I continue to teach them.
