Foo-Foo looks a little too much like a mouse with wings for my taste. Shall we say, I'm not batty about bats? :)

Renaissance Fair Family Fun - Blog Entry

I got to go to the Maryland Renaissance Festival about twelve years ago. That was so much fun -- what a great thing to do as a family. I didn't realize they did one in Colorado -- that's a lot closer to me now.

I would love an armadillo cake! Maybe I should make one for my next birthday -- I'll never get to be a groom, you know. :)

When we had our first child, my husband, who is a jogging enthusiast, tried taking her jogging in a regular stroller. We ruined three of them. Then we got a jogging stroller, and it really makes all the difference. The shock absorption is great, too. And there's another thing -- the handle is higher, so even if you're just walking and not jogging, you don't have to hunch all over just to push the thing.

Are You Aspiring to a Calling? - Blog Entry

I think too that we tend to view callings as popularity contests. That's not how it should be -- we are put in the callings we need to be in. They don't give the "best" callings to the most "popular" women. I know people whose feelings have been hurt because they thought no one liked them because they didn't get a certain call.
