He's a wonderful man but when he doesn't come home with a dozen roses for no reason and sweep me off for a weekend in Bermuda, I feel a little cheated. I find I'm more able to appreciate him for who he is when I keep the romance reading at a minimum. We call it "Monkey" and when we took it to the store the other day, we bought some bananas for it. :) I think a lot of it has to do with the parents' attitudes toward it and if they encourage their children to think of it as a positive thing or not.
