There are a lot of shows on right now featuring different accents, aren't there! I think it's great to help kids (and parents) learn to understand how people in other countries talk.

Allergies and Migraines Linked - Blog Entry

Headaches are definitely caused by food at least some of the time. I had a major breakthrough when I finally figured out that I'm allergic to corn. I had a headache almost constantly for about two years, and after I got off of corn, they stopped. (Until I eat more corn or something really annoying happens) The thing is, corn is in everything. It's maltodextrin, dextrose, corn starch, corn solids, food starch, xanthan gum -- you really have to read your labels carefully to avoid various forms of things you're allergic to. But when you can avoid them, it changes your life!

I really agree with this review. I can't get into the show either. And this is just me being a stinker, but I have a hard time with the fact that the two main characters are a grown man and a little girl. It just seems a little creepy to me that they are the mother/father figures of the show, and yet he's an adult and she's a child. I'm not trying to say there's any hidden pedophile message there, but it just makes me feel uncomfortable. I think they should have cast a boy closer to Stephanie's age or made Stephanie an adult too.

What an insightful blog, Jaime, and thanks for the comment, Miriam. I'm enjoying these blogs quite a bit because the heritage of the Jewish people has always called out to me with its depth and tradition, and it's fascinating to learn more about it.
