More Innocent Ways That Children See Things - Blog Entry

30 Nov 2006 04:52 PM

I know what you mean. My three year old flooded the bathroom this month. It's not funny yet. Although I can laugh about the time she crawled inside the toilet and got stuck.

That would be nice. It's easy to say what you are suppossed to do and like you said a lot harder to do it.

Is Santa Real? - Blog Entry

30 Nov 2006 04:15 PM

I didn't know about Santa until 6th grade. I'm sure my children won't last that long. My son is 7 and was asking me if we buy the presents and just say they are from Santa. My husband and I told him that we believe in Santa and if a kids doesn't believe in Santa then he won't bring them a present. So he decided that he still believed in Santa. Afterall if Santa isn't real then neither is the Easter Bunny or tooth fairy. And he just lost a tooth this month and still believed in her.

I hadn't thought of the giving my child's name and phone number to a stranger. Nola definately has a point. Are the Santa Claus's that call the kids screened, do they pass a background check?

Does the Spirit of God Still Move Today? - Blog Entry

28 Nov 2006 02:05 PM

I don't think it's coincidence. I believe that the Holy Spirit is still here and influences many towards good. Before his death Christ promised that he would send the Comforter to his apostles to guide and teach them because he would be gone. That Comforter is still doing the same thing.

Sharing One View on Homosexual Marriage - Blog Entry

28 Nov 2006 02:01 PM

You described my personal beliefs perfectly. Marriage is ordained of God and should be between a man and a woman. It is scary to see how the world is changing the meaning of marriage, not just between homosexuals but how easy it is to undo a marriage and how lightly people take marriage today.

Dr. Phil Doesn't Get Homeschooling - Blog Entry

28 Nov 2006 01:58 PM

Personally I think there are some children that are home-schooled that would probably benefit from public schools and the other way around as well. If a parent can home-school their child and actually provide all of the subjects that they need and their child is happy at home then homeschooling is great. If not then children are better off in public schools. I agree with you in that some teachers are good and some aren't. Just as some parents are probably good at homeschooling and some aren't.

It sounds like Dr. Phil wants people to think homeschoolers are nuts so he chose guests that portrayed that idea. All talk shows chose guests that will emulate the idea that the host wants to the public to agree with. It doesn't make him right though.

Where Will You Spend the Holidays? - Blog Entry

I'm glad you were able to work things out. That is the key finding what works for you. Often times one partner has to do all the giving and misses out on their families celebrations.

Mario Lopez Back with Karina Smirnoff? - Blog Entry

The camera caught them kissing a lot on Dancing With The Stars. Something the other celebrities and their partners did not engage in. Although most of them were also married. Personally I think they make a cute couple.

Hmmm, this is exactly what I said in my comments on your other blog. My son was the youngest in his class, his birthday is August 24th. So it wasn't until spring that he really caught on, learned his letters, and excelled. Now he's top in his first grade class.
