Is "Mother" Jewelry Insensitive? - Blog Entry

We met my son's halmoni (Korean grandmother) this past April on a trip to Korea. My son (age 11) calls me "oma" and "awmoni" and she really liked it. She liked that he is studying Korean and uses it. I also recognize that my son has many moms, or omas (ummas) and no matter what language you say it they are all a part of my child.
