That's interesting Tristi. I just assumed that LDS would believe similarly to what we believe about divorce. Thanks for sharing!

The vows publicly declare your love and committment to the other person. . .your intention to enter the covenant of marriage. Like Dale (not surprisingly ;-)) I too see it as a sacred thing before God.

Is Natural Birth Better for Bonding? - Blog Entry

The rates of ppd in twin moms are higher than in singleton moms and I wouldn't be surprised if some of that had to do with the NICU experience. They have started to try to make the NICU more family friendly and such. . . But I meant that one was born naturally and one was born via c/s and I noticed a distinct difference in how I bonded with one over the other.

Good article Pattie! I noticed a distinct difference in bonding with my twins but I always tell people that bonding is not a one time event but a process over a long time. One experience doesn't make or break you as a mom.

Well. . .I don't know. I'm pretty opposed to how they parent. . .we are definitely not the blanket training, wean early so you can get pg again, etc. type family. It just boggles my mind that people can be so judgemental all the while proclaiming themselves to be open-minded. Ruthann expressed the sentiment really well--I'm open minded when people agree with me. I mean, here's a family who loves their kids, takes good care of them. . .and we take issue with it? And to be frank, I'm tired of people saying that you can't spend time with each of your kids if you have too many. They should some spend some time with our family. ;-)

Yeah, heaven forbid she bring a second class citizen in the world. The second class citizen may be loved and supported with all those extra siblings. We wouldn't want that. (Yes, pardon dripping sarcasm. . .but really?) I don't parent or think like the Duggars except on the birth control issue. . .but why is it that we're all understanding about abortion and/or aghast at Palin's strong response against it. . .but here's a family who loves and welcomes life and we criticize them? Something is really seriously wrong with our society.
