Treating Preterm Labor - Blog Entry

The risk of infection increases the longer your water is broken. Not to mention the fact that your baby needs that amniotic fluid. . .so once your water has broken you can only go so long without delivering. How long depends on your OB. . .some say 24 hours. . .I've heard others go up to 48 hrs. Anyhow, point is that once your water has broken--delivering is inevitable. ;-)

Oh no--my spouse hates smelly stuff. It gives him a headache. I don't wear perfume, my house is devoid of candles or anything else that smells strongly. No nail polish either. . .as it bothers him. Ironically (to this discussion)--we have cats. ;-)

Meg--thank you for the speech about the cats in your house. ;-) Enlightening. Truly enlightening. So unwashed hair, cats, horses, rabbits--toads perhaps? None of these smell if you just leave them alone. What about arm pit hair? ;-)

Now see here's a question. . .don't they make some wigs out of horse's hair or they used to? I suppose though that horses, rabbits and cats are all similar. Neither do they produce an odor discernable to humans. . .but that's beside the point.

Since cat hair is just like human hair. . .couldn't you make wig out of cat hair? And it would smell beautiful.

I agree with Mary Ann. I think making your own baby formula is dangerous. Formula in and of itself is not that great for babies--regardless of whether or not you make it yourself or buy it from the store. Aside from the risk of bacterial infection. . .the stuff that goes into it is great for a life time of tummy troubles.

I am familiar with this book and read their website but something they fail to mention about these "traditional cultures" is that their mortality rate in infancy is pretty stinkin' high.

Um yes. . .cats smell horrible! You can always smell a house with cats in it unless the keepers are incredibly clean and deodorize.
