$ parking ticket? My last parking ticket was $65. And if you don't respond within 30 days (as in it's sitting on their desk 30 days later). . .it goes up $10. . .every month until they tow your car away! ;-)

Oh Michelle! My mom did the same thing when we went on vacation. I was dressed up. I'm a bit more casual and prefer comfort. . .but my fellow passengers can rest assured that my body is covered! LOL Great blog--my dh btw, wears shorts year round--even in 11 below with a windchill making it feel like 20 or 30 below. I'm pretty sure if we ever become missionaries--we'll move to Siberia.

I can't believe you forgot one of our HUGE budget savers: making bread! Tsk. . .tsk MaryAnn. ;-) You're the one that gave me the brilliant idea to use sandwich rolls instead of bread for sandwiches. So often (not always) I make baguettes or rolls from scratch. The kids like it (mostly) and it saves a bundle and then some. . .and I was already getting bread for less than most people.

My dh had the opposite experience but still really helpful. He had to do an internship to earn his degree and as a result realized that wasn't what he wanted to do after all. An equally valuable experience IMO. Thanks for the comment!
