I Just Threw Away $200 - Blog Entry

I love, love, love The Easy French. Japanese is a little trickier. . .although I also like Living Languages (the children's versions). How old are your children.

And yes, that's just it. . .RS is a great supplement to a traditional foreign language curriculum. . .but it's in the itsy bitsy teeny tiny print where it says that which is frustrating. You will NEVER have a fluent speaker from using just Rosetta Stone.

I think that's a lot smarter frankly. Like I said, we've had several different types of fridge locks and all of them took less than a month to break. They get used, tugged on, yanked and I've even had some children who just 'knew' how to undo it. A locked container in the fridge that's moderately hidden (like in the back of the fridge on the top shelf) is much safer IMO. ;-)

When your homeschooled child does not want to learn - Blog Entry

I'm one of those who is definitely opposed to "structured" preschool. ;-) I'm very interested to see what you have to say Andrea. ;-)

I am sure Andrea will answer this too. . .but my general feeling is that yes you should and no you shouldn't. For a judge to make a radical sweeping statement and interpret law in this way--is a big deal. I think in states (like mine) where regulations are already strict, we have seen some flack from this and other sundry "homeschooling" cases. However, to think that we will suddently be hiding our children under our beds like my pastor did with his children when CPS came--is a little far fetched. I think there is genuine concern for children who are abused. . .but I also think that there is general recognition that this could be a valid option. (Case in point--the governor's commentary on the case.) I think that homeschoolers should continue to be active in advocating for our rights. . .but I don't think the CPS will come a knockin' on doors tomorrow.
