Now see. . .I've always done olive oil infused with chammomile tea. ;-) More expensive than baby oil. . .but still works pretty well. This was definitely my alternative to the mayo days.

That is what I do too. I learn where certain staples are generally cheapest and I do try to plan meals around sales. . .but I have learned if I indulge my need for cooking beyond the cream of mushroom soup dishes. . .we eat in. ;-)

I would suggest combining the subjects you can. Everything except for math and language arts can be combined easily. Knowing that you have this situation next year, try and look for a curriculum that will let you do that easily (if you don't already have one).

Specialized high schools are working though. I'm not totally sure you're understanding that these high schools teach all the core subjects producing that well educated citizen that you're talking about, but the electives that students take all have to do within a certain subject matter. It's not trade school. . .it's traditional high school with a twist. But I agree that we need to produced well educated kids. Oh. . .and who said they were just for minority kids?
