However, thus far, most OB/GYNs who are knowledgable do not recommend extra folate but rather extra protein to carry multiples to term. . .or at least further along. Thanks for sharing. ;-) "Dancing with the Stars" the Truth Finally Comes Out - Blog Entry27 Nov 2007 08:15 AM I think it's strange that one's partner in a dancing competition (and I assume that winning pays some dividends for him--maybe not) would publicly diss his partner. Shows a lack of class honestly, and I have to say that no matter who he's paired with, I'm likely not to be a big fan of his anymore! ;-) And I agree. . .love Helio! Why Breast Pumping Isn't a Good Substitute for Breastfeeding - Blog Entry27 Nov 2007 04:49 AM Being full term makes a huge difference. It really does. Even the difference between 36 and 40 weeks is pretty huge. You'll be suprised at how easy it seems. (I hope). I have never had a preemie, not even the twins, but I've had 3 kids for extended hospital stays for jaundice and it's much harder. Two Appetizers For Your Holiday Party: Deep Fried Tortellini and Artichoke Dip - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 03:45 PM LOL I totally understand! How Do You Know You're Not Messing Them Up? - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 03:13 PM You're so welcome. Being gifted and having special needs at the same time is pretty common actually. Hope to be seeing more of you around! Marriage Shocker: The Day Wayne's Illegitimate Daughter Called - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 02:49 PM That's funny Courtney! There's also a Kevin Delp who lives on our street in NYC with a rather unsavory past. We always get a good chuckle when something comes up. ;-) No illegitimate children yet though! Watching T.V. While Breastfeeding - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 10:43 AM Wow Kara--you're on a roll. I often tell moms who feel guilty about not bfing that bonding is not a one time deal. it's not like if you miss the date, you'll never bond. Having experienced a lot of different births (natural, induced, c/s, etc.) I do think there is something to be said for bonding and various things that happen during and/or after the birth. But I'm not less bonded to one baby over the other simply bc of the birthing circumstances. And I do agree that getting through those initial months with santiy in tact is a higher priority!!! PPD definitely makes it harder to bond. Why Breast Pumping Isn't a Good Substitute for Breastfeeding - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 10:34 AM ". . .this really isn't a blog for moms who turn to pumping out of desperation when breastfeeding isn't working out for some reason. It's not a blog for women whose babies are in the NICU and pumping is the only way their little miracles will get breast milk. " Like I said, moms whose babies in the NICU are different. But you have proven my point. . .most women who pump exclusively will run out of milk bc pumpin is really not a great substitute for bfing. But in your case, there wasn't a choice. You shouldn't feel like a failure--you're incredible!!!
