We coupon but use them at B.J.'s where the prices are cheaper and the coupons are doubled. This wouldn't be effective if you have a large family. I do mostly cook from scratch but find that there are times where I am simply too busy. ;-)

Thanks lavatea. I appreciate your comment and you make a very good argument. I really see the coin from two sides. I'm sure you're well aware by now that I'm pro-life and strongly so. I don't think you can ignore other sanctity of life issues though. . .like stem cell research and fertility ethics. However, candidates may well take a stance on abortion but not these--to me it's all the same.

On top of that, IF making abortions illegal stopped them or decreased them, I too would see that as the single most important issue. But it doesn't. So I feel like as a Christian it's my responsibility to affect change locally. While I would be thrilled to have abortion illegal. . .the bottom line is I don't want babies to be murdered. Making abortions illegal isn't causing less babies to be murdered.

Yep--it gets better though as they get older. Now mine move in oppostive directions and people don't realize that they are twins. There's another article like this somewhere around here. . .

My mom says she put it on my feet. With that said, here's my take on it: I suspect that for some kids who are more prone to respiratory illness, it might cause an issue. Two of my kids have issues with vapo rub. . .the others are fine. Kind of interesting.

I'm not answering the socialization question. It's just a bunch of bunk and that's been proven over and over again. But with regards to teaching what a specialist can yes--actually, my kids get better than their publicly schooled peers as they see world renowned dancers, artists and musicians as part of their instruction. If there is something I don't know. . .I too seek out appropriate help.

You also seem to be forgetting what a colossal amount of time you waste in school--my children do not have to:

wait for anyone else to be done stand in line wait for the class to be quiet do any busywork--ever

So yes--actually there is ample time in my day to do all the things and more that a school does.

You are of course entitled to your own opinion but I just thought I'd educate you a little bit. Good luck!

This is really talking about infants that are still nursing. But rest assured, 99% of the world has tiny spaces. I think if you and your daughter have a big enough bed or two single beds she'll be just fine. ;-)

Thanks for your encouraging words Andrea. I hope he slows down. . .it would make my life easier! But like you my plan is to just let him go and see where we end up. I have no preconceived ideas that he has to finish Calculus before high school and yet that's certainly where we're headed. I expect he'll finish all of elementary math this year. . .maybe early next year. Anyhow, my big thing now is- what to do after Calculus?
