Say So Long to Shorts on Airplanes

Oh Michelle! My mom did the same thing when we went on vacation. I was dressed up. I'm a bit more casual and prefer comfort. . .but my fellow passengers can rest assured that my body is covered! LOL Great blog--my dh btw, wears shorts year round--even in 11 below with a windchill making it feel like 20 or 30 below. I'm pretty sure if we ever become missionaries--we'll move to Siberia.

Avoid These Foods

I can't believe you forgot one of our HUGE budget savers: making bread! Tsk. . .tsk MaryAnn. ;-) You're the one that gave me the brilliant idea to use sandwich rolls instead of bread for sandwiches. So often (not always) I make baguettes or rolls from scratch. The kids like it (mostly) and it saves a bundle and then some. . .and I was already getting bread for less than most people.

Is An Internship Really Worth It?

02 May 2008 08:45 AM

My dh had the opposite experience but still really helpful. He had to do an internship to earn his degree and as a result realized that wasn't what he wanted to do after all. An equally valuable experience IMO. Thanks for the comment!
