It was hard enough for me at 36! But I don't think anyone should tell a woman when she should stop having kids. It's her choice. No Excuses! Hang Your Laundry - Blog Entry03 Feb 2007 04:16 PM When I was growing up, I always hated the smell of clothes hung outside. We didn't have a dryer so unless we walked to the laundrymat we didn't have a choice. I was suprised when I moved back to Mobile that some people are still hanging their laundry outside. In fact, I was walking around my neighborhood about two hours ago and someone had a ton of laundry outside! It brought back memories and then low and behold i run into your article. i also remember having to run outside and grab the laundry off the clothesline many times when the rain started without fair warning! The Mom Debate - Blog Entry28 Jan 2007 12:24 PM "Moms who work outside the home have to save their sick time for their children." When I was pregnant and and working outside the home, this was the first thing a co-worker told me when she found out I was pregnant. She told me that she had always had to use her vacation and sick leave to attend to her son and was still doing it--- he was 15 at the time! Her husband traveled for work and she was basically a single parent since he was gone the majority of the time and her parents were elderly and could help much. Going Out to Eat With Kids-Tips to Make it Easier - Blog Entry22 Jan 2007 10:39 AM My motto is "crayons, never leave home without them". I always have some distractions for Tyler when we go out. We also try to visit family-friendly places like Applebee's and TGI Fridays, Barnhill's. I also make sure to tell the waitress not to bring his food early. Sometimes they do that so that the kids don't get hungry and cranky i guess but what ends up happening is I don't get to enjoy my food because Tyler will pick at his and then he'll be finished when mine comes and preceed to fool around the rest of the meal. Update: Parents Control Your Kids' Behavior In School Or You May Have To Pay A Fine - Blog Entry20 Jan 2007 10:12 AM Andrea, the majority of the comments printed was in favor of the policy. Of course, who knows how many people called in who opposed it. There was one that I saw. Basically, the caller felt the teachers should be able to control their classroom no matter what. A Laptop for a Ten Year Old? - Blog Entry18 Jan 2007 10:26 PM My son has been wanting one every since I got mine last year. Even more so when since I have wireless internet. I allow him to use my PC and he's used my laptop while I was right there with him. I don't think I would buy him one at right now (he's six). But I would probably get him one maybe at 8 or 9.
