How To Quiet Your Little Chatterbox - Blog Entry

18 Jan 2007 05:52 PM

The one great thing about Tyler being a chatterbox is I always know when he's not feeling well. That's the only time he's quiet. And since he loves to talk he never fakes being sick. It would hurt too much not to talk!

While I don't mind his talking, what I mind is his talking ALL THE TIME. The kid literally talks from the moment he wakes up until he drifts off to sleep (and sometimes he talks in his sleep! okay he laughs not talk). He wakes up happy! Every single day. I mean he's never ever grumpy in the morning, even if we have to get up early for some reason.

The main problem is I can't have another conversation with another person. And sometimes I'm trying to think about something and there he is all up in my head! But all in all he's really a good kid. I guess his being an only child and the fact that we've lived alone most of his life he would spend a lot of time talking to me . I'm the one constant in his life.

Inviting whole families might be okay if you are inviting kids from the neighborhood, but i don't think i should invite Tyler's classmates and their siblings.

Julie,

One thing I noticed about Tyler, almost from the start, is that he was always very attentive when anyone talked to him. So I used that to my advantage and I think it's paid off.

Jeff, I like breakfast food for dinner also. I especially like homemade pancakes made from the cheap muffin mix. There's a wildberry and a blackberry mix that's I absolutely love.

Another Example Of Bad Parenting - Blog Entry

I think the mother was negligent because she was home sleeping during the day while the child was wandering around and the other kid was in the filthy house eating off the floor. And I honestly think alarms are the way to go with young kids. If they get out at least you will be alerted before they have a chance to get too far.

For me personally I don't think I could do it. But I think it's a woman's right to reproduce when she wants to. If she adopts and dies then the kids are still left without a parent. I think it's an individual choice. Of course we wonder if we will make it to see our kids grow up but younger parents have the same concerns.

I think it's a neat idea too and one most people would not think about. I know I didn't until I read about it. I only wish I had read about it earlier. I definitely would have rented one.
