7 Tips for Beginning to Homeschool a Child With an Autism Spectrum Disorder - Blog Entry

26 Mar 2008 11:06 PM

Way to go Valorie! I've been homeschooling our son for 5 years. He was recently diagnosed, but you know, the stress level DOES go down when you're working with your own kids and their unique ways of learning. It isn't about fitting into the same shaped mold anymore. They get to be themselves and the focus is so much more positive and fun.

By the way, the deschooling is right on. In our case, we didn't get a choice, he just refused to do it any other way. After about a year, things were much easier. Ursula www.LearningWithTy.wordpress.com
