Frankly, if I could have the "free ride", I would! If we were wealthy, I'd spend 24/7 playing with the kids. Being a WAHM isn't about expanding my possibilities for the future; it's about paying the bills. If I truly had the choice, I can't imagine choosing ANYTHING over time with my family. But I live in the real world :-).

I think Michele's right; they'd like to be doing it, too, and wonder if it generates enough income for them to give it a try. If you don't want to give them a straight answer, tell them you make more than you would flipping burgers, but not nearly as much as you're worth ;-).

Of COURSE they're spoiled! Lisa's right, that's why we do it. So that we can stop in the middle of what we're doing to kiss an owwie or settle an argument, or teach someone why the red towel cannot go in the wash with daddy's t-shirts.

Stop when you can. The blog will still be there in ten minutes, and the packages will still be waiting.
