No, I don't believe in space aliens. I think most UFOs can be explained by weather, aircraft, lights, or overactive imaginations. Of course, that doesn't keep me from wearing my foil hat!

Oh, I forgot about them! Yes, they were very good. He has the pipes, but she is stunningly beautiful and can sing, too. Will be interesting to see if she makes it through Hollywood week. I loved that their dad was so proud when they came out!

Valorie, asking the colleges is a very good idea! We take pictures of all their Scouting activities too. Especially when we were Lone Scouting and we needed to be way above suspicion.

Oh, gosh, Libby! Another Soul Patroller! I KNEW I liked you! LOL I spent WAY too many hours last year in Taylor-related endeavors. Did you ever visit the AI boards?

I haven't seen anyone yet who has that blow-me-away quality (we picked Chris and Taylor from the auditions last year). I'm not expecting there to be another year like last year (how COULD there be?), but I'd like to see some real quality. So far, the 16 year old with the bushy hair has been the best, imho. I'm looking forward to more. We pile on the bed and all critique them together. It did seem that Simon was being particularly cutting this week, but I notice that Paula wasn't her normal gushing self either.

We're there, and yes, I'm the oldest girl. Most of the time, it's a really good thing to have the three generations living together. I can't imagine working outside the home and taking care of two generations.

I don't agree with the speaker that our caregiving comes from being socialized. Women are natural caregivers. This doesn't mean, however, that they ought to be bearing all the burden! We have been training our oldest son from birth that he'll be the one taking care of us when the time comes :-). In days of old, THAT'S why the oldest son got the lion's share of the inheritance - because he was expected to carry the burden of aging parents.
