Agreed. The big one for me is getting the food out of the house. I have no self-control with food, especially chocolate and ice cream (even better, chocolate ice cream!). I've been doing well this year (all of two weeks. lol) in large part because dh has wanted to lose weight, so neither he nor my dad bring home the dreaded (and delicious) Rocky Road.

I appreciate when a show's producers take the time to make it right. It's pure laziness not to.

As far as the Playboy shoot, I'm sure it's against UCMJ on many levels. They're not even allowed to HAVE that magazine (at least not on ships or squadrons). I'm sure there's a special place in Hell reserved for the likes of Hefner, Guccione, and Silberstein.

Our neighbor's dog is being put down this week. He belongs to the neighbors, but Chief is really my dog, even more so that the three that belong to this household. He's the cuddly big husky who is always happy to see me, asks nothing of me but a hug and a scrach, and gives so much back in return. I know my kids will be upset when he's gone, but I think it's going to be hardest on me.

With the last dog of mine who we had to put down, we did just as you suggest, digging the hole and buying him in the yard. We planted a tree over her, so it's now "Heidi's Tree."

How awful to threaten the parents with arrest if they choose to keep their children home for extra help! This isn't a case of kids running wild. The reason most kids have summer off dates back to farmers needing their children home to help during the busy season.

Good news for homeschooling, though ;-). I predict that after the first fisherman gets jailed, there will be a rush to find cover schools!
