Ooh, I wish! No, it was just the factory. My daughter said it reminded her of Laverne & Shirley :-).

My Problem with Saving on Groceries - Blog Entry

I don't shop from a list, unless it's a list of what's on sale. For me, I've found that shopping from a list can be a lot more expensive. Instead, I buy large amounts of things on sale, think what I could make from them, and then fill in the holes. I snack on seeds a lot. Lately it's been organic pumpkin seeds. They don't seem frugal when you buy a small pack for $4, but they last forever because just a few satisfies. Mary Ann's muffin suggestion is good, too! You can make tons in advance.

My sister keeps water bottles and homemade cookies in the car. Not tons, but four or five. Enough to stave off the hunger. I buy those cheese and cracker things when they go on sale, and keep one or two in the glove box for my husband. Same with Balance Bars. They don't fill you up like a meal, but they're enough to hold hunger at bay until you can have some soup at home.

Sounds really interesting! I'd probably be a light green. (Mix the blue and yellow, with a tinge of white) ;-)

Would you Rather Have a Housekeeper, a Nanny or a Cook? - Blog Entry

Definitely the cook, no hesitation! I have four housekeepers already ;-), and I wouldn't trade parenting them for the world. But I sure could use a break in the kitchen, having someone else pore through Healthy Living recipes. Plus, I'd be able to blame anything burned on them. lol

My grandma was Klydola Iola (Her dad was Clyde). Carole, your aunt's name made me laugh. I bet she was either (a) an extremely nice person, or (b) a holy terror. lol

Good idea about the movie! Since we use Scouting for school, we already scrapbook that. It's interesting to see their progress. The webpage idea is really unique, especially if they do it themselves. Thanks Andrea!

No, I have a front loader (love my Neptune!) so I use liquid. I *do* use borax as a booster, but that costs me about $2 a month.

Great article, Mary Ann! I totally agree. When we were in CA, we toured the Jelly Belly factory a dozen times. It never got old. One of the most interesting places we toured was the Budweiser factory (in Fairfield near Jelly Belly). Lest anyone get the wrong idea, I'm a teetotaler. It was the *PROCESS* that was so interesting. We also loved the Harry & David tour in Medford, OR. Next on our list is the Almond Roca factory in Tacoma, WA :-).
