I'm equally sure it's not going to change. If someone is upfront with the nepotism, I don't see a problem with it. It's the family business. If I was in that position, though, I would document EVERY error that I corrected. It doesn't have to be shown, but a kept record will eventually make its way to the right place. The owner will be very grateful to have the mistakes rectified. In a sense, the relative's incompetence equals job security for you.
