We were on year-round school, so we each took a different track, and on the fourth, we missed school every third day. It worked out great. We also each had an "assigned" baby for nights and weekends. Unfortunately, he was armed with good points. lol. He plays Rome: Total War. From it, he knows more of Rome's history than I do (and I teach Latin). Additionally, he has become a master in the art of Diplomacy. He also plays Guild Wars. His arguments there were that his spelling and typing have improved tenfold (they have), and that he is learning about Economics, Business, and teamwork. I think they must have a section on the games about convincing your parents ;-). If I didn't regulate it, they WOULD be on 24/7. I know this because I gave them a free week awhile back and they spent it on gaming. We are an "after 5" family. I figure the games take the place of television (they watch almost none).
