The men of the family were very hard workers, and the women worked equally as hard at home. They washed clothes in a tub of water, squeezed the water out by hand, hung the clothes to dry, and prayed it would not rain. I loved their way of life. They helped each other, and they take care of each other. If I have been 25 years younger, I may have married a man there. You have to work out the differences and respect each other's beliefs. He was supposed to be there for four months, but suddenly, like lots of other soldiers, he was extended for one year. Brutal. Open the blog for military comments. I am on medicare for MS and and I have military insurance because I am retired Navy. I never have to at the bills. What one insurance doesn't pay, the other does.
