What type of sewing machine do you have?

I have an embroidery machine, but I borrowed a Kenmore 28 sewing machine to knock out a quilt. I can't figure out how to lock the needle shaft so it doesn't go up and down so I can wind bobbins.

Does anyone "stockpile?"

I don't stockpile, I just have a huge "Costco" pantry. With that said, there are some things I find I need to store for long tern, one is bleach.

placemats should be quilted.. purchase already quilted or quilt your own.. make napking to match.. which brings me to wooly nylon. wooly nylon is usually used on rolled hems such as napkins.

pearle cotton is like embroidery floss, comes on a spool, shiny and makes the best decorative edging.

Katlau, have you seen those dental floss threaders at the store in the toothpaste isle? they are made by Butler or G.U.M. they look like a loop with a long tail and come in a plastic case.

with as cheap as printers are to purchase (under $150) one could buy a printer and all the stuffies and go into a small business making cake images for people to put on their own cakes.
