15 May 2006 08:08 PM Okay this is my journal entry -- now what?
I honestly don't know what I'm going to write in this journal. I don't know if this is less formal than the blog entries I write, if it's less "authoritative," more "personal." Is this where I write stuff like "today I picked up my daughter at school, and she showed me a note her friend wrote that said "You're my best friend ever" (don't panic, they're not passing notes surreptitiously; the teacher has them write notes to practice writing and they have mailboxes to put them in), then we went home and dug weeds"? I've seen a few journal entries, and some are short and personal, and some are more infromational, like a blog entry. I assume I'm not getting paid for this entry? Well, whatever, I'm experimenting here. The thing is: my blog entries don't ever feel all that "authoritative." I'm not an advice columnist. I'm not a pop psychologist either (though I'd like to play one on TV). So my blog is more "personal" in the sense that it's very much about how I see things. At the same time, I'm also a very private person; that's why I don't use a lot of real names of anyone I mention, and why I am not comfortable sharing pictures. So what will this journal do? Come back later and find out, won't you? bluetree (2947) 15 May 2006 08:40 PMMySite is a personal photoblog for anyone and everyone. It's not a paid blog, Families.com pays writers to write in blog topics of interest to the general community. The power of MySite is an easy way for anyone to connect with their family and friends. Pass along your MySite address or invite your friends and family (invite tool at the top by your login) and share thoughts with each other..you can assign them as your family and then post entries that are only viewable to your family. You can go to any other user's MySite page and add them as friend or family as well. workingdad (2084) 16 May 2006 10:18 PMBut I probably would not want to share my journal with my family! I mean, wasn't that the point of having your diary locked up???? :-) Okay, i'm being a little flip, but at least i've got another blog post idea! Discuss this article
