The "Breast" in Breastfeeding

Barbara Walters also recently referred to an African American child as a "creature." She's the one that makes me uncomfortable, if you ask me. She's absolutely ridiculous.

The Princess Bride: Comedy, Romance and Adventure All Rolled into One

Enjoy! It's a favorite around here as well. I'm always amazed when I find people who haven't yet discovered this one, yet there are many out there!

"Nothing's Fair in Fifth Grade" by Barthe DeClements

I absolutely loved this book when I was growing up! I still have fond memories of holding that pink, paperback, dog-earred book in my hands as I devoured the contents.

It's Tough to be a Bug: The Secret of AK's Tree of Life

It really was an amazing attraction, wasn't it? For some reason, I really got a kick out of Hopper coming out of the side of the theatre. That just was really the icing on the cake.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Review

Ditto. He's just fabulous in this one as well. In fact, I would even say he improves upon his performance from the first one. :)

Jack Sparrow Debuts at Walt Disney World and Disneyland

Thanks, Kristyn! I had a blast writing it. I've been looking forward to these changes for awhile. Pirates was my *favorite* attraction at DW as a child and I love the films, as well. I had a big smile on my face when I read about the people's reaction in your comment. That's what I've been hearing from so many people about the animatronics. I hear they pretty much dwarf the older animatronics!

My Secret Disneyland Diary

Great article, Kristyn. I've never been to Disney World or Disneyland alone. And as far as I'm concerned, Disney parks are some of the best places to people watch. ;)

Five Reasons to Love Brandon Routh - The New Superman

I was SO impressed by Brandon as Superman! I was truly blown away. He exceeded all my expectations (which, admittedly, were low due to my love for Chris). He was fantastic!

Superman Returns-With A Twist

05 Jul 2006 03:00 PM

I've just written up a review in the movie blog. I was impressed with the film, but then, you should be aware that I am a lifelong Superman fan and was practically raised on a diet of blue tights and red capes. There's one scene, though I won't go into it for spoilers, where you will question Lois' parenting. Yet, at the same time, you don't know what she should do. She's stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Superman remains the stoic character he was in the Reeve films. Even when he is weakened, he remains strong. There's a twist near the end that will probably raise debates and some good discussion.

Preparing for Emergencies While Visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland

Good thought, Miriam! I had wondered what they did during 911. I know that 911 was what brought about the extensive bag search at the gates.
