How to Get Your Scrap Space More Organized - Blog Entry

27 Aug 2008 08:55 AM

Nicole, you hit the nail on the head when you wrote "you need your supplies and products close to your reach." I'm finally getting there in my studio--it's small, but it's going to help me become much more productive! I'll post photos on my blog soon.

Meanwhile, I wanted to comment that a couple weeks ago I impulsively bought the MS black ribbon organizer at Michael's with my coupon, brought it home, loaded my ribbon spools into it, and then had quite a fight of an evening to get them to come through the slot and stay nicely spaced. The dowel rod wasn't engineered well for ribbon spools to slightly turn--they all were "stuck" in place. It's going back to the store! I can make my own using a dowel rod and a shoebox.

So far, my favorite organizers are the 12 x 12 clear acrylic paper holders I found on scrapbook.com--I got two sets of 10; the bonus is that the cardboard packing material that they come in also can serve as paper organizers, if you don't load it too heavily! Wahooo! Hope this helps others. Jane
