Idol Gives Back…and Takes Away

This week was the big “American Idol” benefit show, Idol Gives Back. This show is sort of mini telethon that asks for donations to help the poor in both America (including those in Louisiana affected by Hurricane Katrina and living in the Appalachian Mountains) and Africa (including children who have lost parents due to AIDS). We have a mosquito infestation in our yard. It’s not nearly as bad as it was last year; our dry spring gave the pests less places to breed.
