Addiction Recovery Program is Now Online

The church has recently launched a new portion of its website for the addiction recovery program. I, myself, have never attended these meetings. I have always thought that it was just for those who suffered from addiction to pornography or substance abuse. But, in fact, this program is much more than that.

If you are thinking that it might be like your typical AA meeting, think again. The meetings are run in a loving, hope filled environment. No one is expected to confess their sins to a large group of people, and in fact, you don’t even have to be addicted to anything to attend. If you know someone in your family that suffers from an addiction, then you are just as much a part of the recovery process as the addict himself. So, this program is for you too.

The new website can be found here. One great aspect of this website is the simplicity of finding meetings for you. You can use the meeting locator to narrow by meetings for just family and friends or meetings with those who struggle with addiction. You can further narrow your search by topics like pornography, eating disorders, or general addiction. Some meetings are for men only, some are for women only. There really are a lot of options when deciding which program is right for you.

The website also allows you to be able to download the addiction recovery program guide. If you are to intimidated by meetings, you can have the ease of looking of the program guide yourself in the comfort of your own home. This website also allows users to share their stories, and read about the program and what is involved for family members of those that are addicted and for the addicted members themselves.

If you have always wanted to attend one of these meetings, the website is a good place to start. You can read over what is expected, and find great resources to beginning your journey toward personal healing.
