AFLAC Review

If you haven’t bought Long Term Care insurance, you may want to consider it. Or if you are not ready for a Long Term Care policy maybe a Supplemental Disability policy is a better fit for you. Aflac offers insurance coverage for a variety of situations. Including supplemental disability coverage for both short and longer terms. Simply defined, longer term disability is a person unable to work for a long period of time (often up to five-years) while disabled.

More companies are offering this peace of mind. The employer will usually offer it to you at half the cost. You can buy disability insurance on your own, but through an employer, you don’t pay as much. If you do have the insurance and become temporarily disabled, what does it pay? It depends on the company.

I searched Aflac. I see the commercials all the time with the duck flying into things but he always manages to pay the bills for the people who are injured. They pay you usually within four days of your injury. They pay you unless you request that they pay a doctor or hospital. They offer accident disability, short term disability, hospital confinement indemnity, long term care, specified health event, life and dental insurance.

You pay a certain amount each month to keep this insurance current. They assist with more than just disability. They even offer cancer care, vision and dental. Their website was very informative and self explanatory. If you are looking for long term disability or any other insurance I listed above, check out this website to see if this company suits you. With disability insurance, it may feel like you are throwing away your money each month on premiums. Hopefully you will never need it. If you do, It will be nice to know it’s there.
