Babies in the News: Earliest Living Preemie ‘Almost’ Goes Home Amilia Taylor, born just slightly before 21 weeks gestation, is the first baby to survive with such a short gestational period. At the writing of this article she was getting ready to leave but as of now she is home enjoying her new surroundings. Amazingly, the doctors do not expect any long term damage.
