Baby Tease

One of the most fun parts of being pregnant is shopping for cute baby clothes. It’s fun to shop for baby clothes even when you are not pregnant! Regardless of whether you are shopping for your own new arrival or someone else’s bundle, you can make custom baby clothes that will impress (or humor) everyone that comes in contact with the baby. All you need is a little creativity, some plain white onesies, an iron, a computer with a printer, and iron-on transfer paper.

To get started, look for inspiration. What makes you laugh? What are you naming your baby? Are you having a girl or a boy? What are your favorite movie quotes and song titles? Think of what you would love to see on a baby tee and run with it. You can include photos, alter logos to make them pertain to babies in a funny way, put a spin on popular catch phrases or type out your baby’s nickname in a fun font. The possibilities are endless.

After you have decided on a design, create it in a program like Microsoft Word or Adobe Photoshop. Print out your design as a mirror image onto iron-on transfer paper. Follow the directions on the package to adhere your design to a white or other light colored cotton onesie.

I made six different t-shirts for my little guy. My favorite is a picture of an iPhone that I altered to say iPoop on the screen! Another uses a quote from one of my favorite movies: I’m Kind Of A Big Deal. Can you guess what movie? As I peeled the backing off each transfer to reveal the design, I couldn’t help but laugh. My family will get a big kick out of these shirts.

Custom Baby Tees

Trendy onesies are sold all over the internet, but they can get pretty expensive. It’s much cheaper and much more fun to make your own. Goodbye boring onesies, hello styling baby!
