Balance Your Life

One great conflict among married couples is over the amount of time that each puts into the relationship. In many cases one partner feels that he or she does a greater share of the work than the other. He or she feels that he/she works harder on keeping the relationship together.

The thing that we must all learn to do for ourselves and for our family is to create a balance in our lives. We must make every effort to give all of our responsibilities the attention that they deserve.

It is usually true that every woman hopes to find a man that will work and provide for the family. However no women wishes to be continuously left alone while her husband spends hours overworking himself. The same goes for a man and his working wife.

When we, men or women, put too much of ourselves and interest into one aspect of our lives things can be thrown off balance. When things are off balance something must suffer. Unfortunately many times it is our marriage that suffers the most.

When the greatest part of our lives is spent working, with hobbies, or away from the family, someone at home is being left out and likely feeling negative toward the relationship. These feelings can then in return turn into greater issues and problems for the couple.

While the world is growing more and more expensive and it is becoming more and more difficult for couples to raise and provide for the family’s desires, balance must be achieved in order to maintain happiness.

Some people struggle with maintaining a proper balance and giving priority where it should be placed. However, one must learn to find balance among the effort and time that we out into our work, our family, our spouse, our religion, and even ourselves.
