Earlier this year, I did a series of blogs that took a brief look at the family trees of candidates who were (or who hoped to be) running for President of the United States in 2012. I will now continue the series by looking at the family tree of the Vice Presidential candidates. Here is a brief look into Paul Ryan’s family tree.
This year, the Republican party selected Mitt Romney as their choice of candidate to run for President of the United States in 2012. It was very recently revealed that Mitt Romney selected Paul Ryan as his choice for Vice President, and as his running mate. Here is a brief look into the family tree of Paul Ryan.
Paul Davis Ryan was born on January 29, 1970 in Janesville, Wisconsin. His father was Paul Murray Ryan, who was born on July 23, 1931, and who died in August of 1986. He was a lawyer. His mother is Elizabeth A. Hutter. She was born in August of 1934. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin class of 1956.
Elizabeth A. Hutter and Paul Murray Ryan got married in 1954. She was 20 years old, and her husband, Paul Murray Ryan, was 23 years old when Paul Davis Ryan was born. Technically speaking, it would be correct to say that Paul Davis Ryan was Paul Ryan, Jr.
Paul Ryan Jr. was not an only child. He was the youngest of four children. He has an older brother named Charles, an older brother named Samuel, and an older sister named Elizabeth. It is clear that Elizabeth was named after her mother.
Paul Murray Ryan died in 1986 of a heart attack. He was 55 years old. Paul Jr. was 16 years old when this happened. This means that Paul Davis Ryan received Social Security survivor’s benefits until his 18th birthday. He used the money from the Social Security survivor’s benefits to pay for tuition at Miami University. He graduated from Miami University in 1992 with a BA in economics and political science.
The parents of Paul Murray Ryan are the grandparents of Paul Davis Ryan. His paternal grandmother was named Edith Irene McCarthy. She was born on March 29, 1897 in Wisconsin, and she died in December of 1983. She was 86 years old when she died.
Her husband, Paul Davis Ryan’s paternal grandfather, was Stanley Martin Ryan. He was born in Wisconsin on Jun 1, 1898, and he died in March of 1957. He was 59 years old when he died. The cause of death was a heart attack. Stanley and Edith got married in November of 1925. She was 28 years old and he was 27 years old.
They had two children. Dr. Adolph Matthew Hutter, who is a cardiologist, and is the uncle to Paul Davis Ryan. Janet Kay is the daughter of Stanley Martin Ryan and Edith Irene McCarthy, and the Aunt to Paul Davis Ryan.
The father of Stanley Martin Ryan, and the great-grandfather of Paul Davis Ryan, was Patrick William Ryan. He was born in 1884 in Wisconsin, and he died around 1930, at the age of 59, (also of a heart attack). Patrick William Ryan founded Ryan Incorporated Central construction business in 1884.
