About Online Survey Sites

While it is true that you are not going to make a ton of money and be able to quit your job by participating in online survey sites, it can be a lot of fun, and very rewarding. The more sites you sign up with, the more surveys you will get, and the more rewards you will receive.

Companies are always looking for views and opinions on their products. Sometimes they have an older product they want to improve, or a new product they want consumer’s opinions. In return for your time answering questions and telling them your opinion, they are willing to give you rewards, and sometimes even send you a test product to try. The rewards you receive depend on the survey companies, and range from cash, e-certificates, gift cards, PayPal Funds or just an entry into a sweepstakes. Some survey companies also pay you by rewarding you points for surveys that you complete. You can then take these points and cash them in for a later prize. Most surveys take between 10 – 20 minutes.

When signing up for a survey site you will be asked questions such as your age, sex, marital status, how many children you have, etc. The reason for these questions is so they can target a specific group. If a company wants to come out with a new brand of baby wipes, a 48-year-old single male with no kids is not going to be able to give them much feed back. Sometimes, after answering a few questions, you might find you don’t qualify for that survey because you might not fit into the target group they are looking for.

It’s also important to answer your surveys as soon as you receive them. I know we all get busy and don’t have time to do everything we’d like to do when we need to. However, the great thing about surveys is that you can take them when you have the time, and they will always be there. But keep in mind that spots fill up as soon as they get enough information from their targeted group, and then the survey closes. Therefore you have a better chance of qualifying for prizes if you take the survey as soon as you receive it.

The most important thing to remember is that you should not have to pay to join any survey sites, or to receive a list of survey sites. If you have to pay for any thing, it’s a scam. There are sites out there that promise you big bucks, and then ask for your credit card number.

About Jody Connolly (Benjaminna)

I am a married SAHM of five (and one cat)! My oldest daughter is 12, a diva ready to take over the world. My 10-year-old son, my informer, loves to make sure everyone is doing what he or she is supposed to (although he is no angel). I have an 8 year old daughter, who is just one of a kind. My 2 1/2 year old daughter, her own little personality is shinning through, and so are her terrible twos. And last but not least, my 1-year-old son, who is just the happiest and most content baby in the world. Things I love to do: coupons, rebates, read, color with sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles
