Actor Impregnates His Children’s Former Nanny and Montel’s Show Fizzles Out

Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman’s two children are about to get a new sibling… from a woman they know well.

According to the actor’s rep, Hawke’s children’s former nanny and current girlfriend (got that?), Ryan Shawhughes is pregnant with the “Dead Poets Society” star’s baby.

Hawke and Shawhughes are reportedly thrilled by the news and say they can’t wait to introduce the baby-to-be to Hawke’s kids with ex-wife Thurman. The two actors were married for seven years and had two children together daughter Maya, now 9, and son Levon, 5.

When the superstar couple split in 2004 rumors swirled that it was because Hawke cheated on Thurman with a 22-year-old model he met while he was working in Canada. Back then several publications noted that Hawke strayed because he thought Thurman was having a relationship with moviemaker Quentin Tarantino. According to Thurman and Tarantino, the allegations were false but by then Hawke had already checked out of the marriage and divorce proceedings began.

Then, about a year after Hawke and Thurman’s split was finalized the couple’s former nanny contacted the actor to confess her feelings for him. According to the Daily News, Shawhughes had nothing to do with Hawke and Thurman’s divorce and started seeing the actor after she was no longer employed as his children’s nanny.

Thirty-seven-year-old Hawke and 28-year-old Shawhughes have been dating for nearly two years, though friends of Shawhughes say she has been in love with Hawke for much longer than that.

And now she is carrying his baby…

No word on how Thurman or her two children are taking the news.

MONTEL’S SHOW FIZZLES OUT

After 17 seasons on the air “The Montel Williams Show” is biting the dust.

According to the talk show’s distributor, the long running chatfest will cease production after this television season.

But Williams says fans of his show shouldn’t despair he won’t be disappearing from TV all together. In a deal the talk-show host struck with CBS Television, a series of best-of episodes will air beginning this fall. The series consists of a full-year of programming highlighting “the most exciting episodes from the last 17 years,” according to network execs. Original episodes, however, will cease production at the end of this season.

In an earlier blog I mentioned that I had no idea “The Montel Williams Show” was still on the air. Now that Williams really will be gone from the airwaves will you miss him?
