Adventures by Disney: Australia

When you arrive at Cairns International Airport in Queensland you’ll be met by an Adventures by Disney representative who will assist with your luggage and see you to your transfer vehicle. You’ll then be whisked away to the Sea Temple Resort & Spa. Your Adventure Guide will check you in and then you’ll be on your own until dinner. Your welcome dinner will be a family-style dinner served under the stars.

On your second day in Australia, you’ll visit Mossman Gorge where you’ll hike through a rainforest park. Lunch will be served at Voyages Silky Oaks Lodge where you can also swim and enjoy the scenery. For dinner, you’ll cruise on a lagoon and then feast on a private hearty Aussie barbeque.

Day three will take you to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park where you’ll participate in Aboriginal traditions, listen to a didgeridoo, learn how to throw a boomerang and a spear, and paint your own boomerang. A buffet lunch will follow. That afternoon you’ll go to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway where you’ll glide above the rainforest canopy, then descend among the trees. The Skyrail ride ends in Kuranda where you can visit Australia’s largest butterfly sanctuary. Back at the hotel, you can enjoy a quiet adult evening while your Junior Adventurer’s have their own dinner party.

On the morning of your fourth day, you’ll board a catamaran to sail to Low Isles in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. You’ll spend the morning snorkeling and taking a tour on a glass-bottom boat. A buffet lunch will be served on the catamaran. You can then spend the afternoon sunbathing, building sandcastles and enjoying the surroundings.

On day five you’ll fly to Ayers Rock. Lunch will be served in-flight. On your way to your hotel you’ll enjoy a brief stop at the Aboriginal Cultural Center. You’ll then check in to Voyages Desert Gardens Hotel where you can spend the afternoon relaxing until your sunset camel ride.

On day six, you’ll hike around its base of Ayers Rock and learn its stories. You can then enjoy a family lunch on your own before visiting Kata Tjuta. That evening you’ll do some star gazing before going back to the hotel where your Junior Adventurer will enjoy a pizza party while adults can spend some time alone.

On day seven, you’ll fly to Sydney, eating lunch in-flight. When you arrive, you’ll be checked in to the Grace Hotel and have free time to explore Sydney before having dinner at Summit, a revolving restaurant that will give you a 360-degree, bird’s eye view of Sydney.

On day eight, you’ll enjoy a private breakfast with a zoo keeper at Taronga Zoo and then join a privately guided tour focusing on native Australian animals. Then you’ll ride the Sky Safari cable car to the dock at Sydney Harbor where you’ll take a jet boat ride around the harbor. Pizza lunch at Circular Quay is included. That afternoon, you’ll enjoy a privately guided bike tour of the historic Rocks district in Sydney. Dinner will be on your own.

Day nine will begin with a morning on your own in Sydney. That afternoon, you’ll visit Tobruk Sheep Ranch where you’ll see demonstrations of herding, shearing, and whip cracking. A family-style farewell dinner of Australian barbeque will then be served.

On your final day in Australia, you’ll enjoy breakfast at your hotel before being transported to the airport for your flight home.
