Adventures By Disney: Germany

You’ll begin your German adventure when you arrive at the airport in Frankfurt. An Adventures by Disney representative will meet you there and escort you to your transfer vehicle while the driver assists with your luggage. You’ll then be transported to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Heidelberg where your Adventure Guide will check you in. Later, you’ll attend a welcome reception and German buffet dinner at the hotel.

On your second day in Germany you’ll tour Heidelberg Castle with your Adventure Guides and then have the afternoon for lunch and some sightseeing on your own. Later that evening you’ll attend a wine tasting at the Zum Ritter Hotel before enjoying a private dinner there with your fellow adventurers.

On day three you’ll take breakfast at your hotel before taking a motor coach to the city of Alsfeld, home of the Brothers Grimm. Lunch will include a picnic in the courtyard of the Alsfed Museum. After lunch you’ll journey to Trendelburg Castle, also known as Rapunzel’s Castle. Then you’ll proceed to Hotel Burg Trendelburg and gather for a special reception. Dinner will be a banquet in the hotel’s 800-year-old cellar. After dinner, parents can take a break while kids enjoy a Disney movie with snacks and soft drinks.

Your fourth day will start with breakfast and a privately guided bike tour of the campground of Hofgut Stammen where you’ll learn the art of archery and then enjoy a cookout lunch. The afternoon is yours to do with as you will. Later you’ll tour Sababurg Castle which inspired the Brothers Grimm to write the story of Sleeping Beauty. Sleeping Beauty and her Prince will then entertain you at dinner at the castle.

Day five will bring you to Löwenburg Castle for a tour and then lunch at Gutshof Kassel Restaurant. Then you’ll journey to Rothenburg where your Guides will check you into Hotel Eisenhut. Dinner is on your own.

On your sixth day you’ll learn to make pretzels from the chef at the Striffler Bakery, take a walking tour of the town that was the inspiration for the village in the Disney movie Pinnochio, then enjoy lunch and the afternoon on your own in Rothenburg. Dinner will then be served at the Hotel Eisenhut before you take a twilight walking tour with the Night Watchman.

On day seven you’ll travel by motor coach to Giegen for an interactive tour of the Steiff Bear factory. The company’s founder, Margaret Steiff, was the inventor of the teddy bear. After the tour, you’ll make your very own bear to bring home. Lunch will be served at Salzburgerhof Hotel before you travel by motor coach along the “Romantic Road” to Munich and then check into the Kempinski Hotel. You’ll then take a tour of Munich before enjoying dinner on your own.

On your eighth day you’ll visit one of the most famous castles in the world, the castle that inspired Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle, Neuschwanstein Castle. Then you’ll enjoy lunch at the Lisl Hotel Restaurant, overlooking Neuschwanstein Castle. Your farewell dinner will be served at Hofbrauhaus, one of the oldest beer halls in Germany, accompanied by entertainment from an oompa band and German dancers.

On your last day in Germany you’ll enjoy breakfast at the Kempinski Hotel with your fellow adventurers before boarding pre-arranged transportation to the airport.
