Calling all scrapbooking music buffs, right here, right now. Music is a wonderful way to relax, or use as a pick me up. There are so many different styles of music now, that it’s hard to choose a favorite.
I’m a country girl at heart. That’s what I listen the most to, however I have a very broad range of interests from pop, to classic rock, and jazz and classical. Lately I’ve stepped out of my box and found myself enjoying and listening to Contemporary Christian music as well. Because Contemporary Christian is a rather diverse style, it’s available in pop, rock, country, rap, etc. So finding something to enjoy is very easy.
I decided to create a scrapbook layout about my musical tastes. I had to do a two page layout because I have so many favorites. Music is a huge part of my life. It is what calms me when I’m wired. It’s what focuses me when I cannot concentrate. It is what inspires me when I am having trouble being creative. It is what puts me in a good mood, when I am having “one of those days”. Music is all around us.
Think about music and what you normally listen to. What are your favorites? What does that style or song do for you? What makes you enjoy that song or style so much?
Choose a song or two, find the lyrics and do some soul searching. Does the music touch you? Do the words?
List your favorite songs on a layout. If you have a favorite artist or artists, tell about them, include photos if you can.
Is there a particular instrument that you respond most to? Is there an instrument that you have learned to play? Journal about that on the page too.
What concerts have you attended? Which ones were your favorites? Which ones would you never go to again? Why?
What is a music style or styles that you will never listen to? Why is that?
As I said, music is a part of our souls. It’s all around us. Generate a layout all about music and your music likes and dislikes. Include photographs of instruments, album covers, favorite CD’s or artists.
