Are Dates Lucky in Love?

Last year, Libby wrote a great blog related to the date of June 6, 2006 and how many people were worried about the numerology of the date. So this year, it should hardly be surprising that a new number is making the rounds, but this time in the sense of how lucky is the date going to be for lovers planning their wedded bliss.

July 7, 2007

Rolling three sevens on a slot machine is a sure way to win the jackpot and apparently, the most popular day for wedding planners this year is 7/7/07. Checking out local venues from Lake Tahoe to the Napa Valley to Disney World and more – wedding venues are being booked up for July 7th of this year as engaged couples are looking to add to their chances for marriage success.

According to one of the local wedding planners in my area, it’s the most popular date ever. She’s had to turn down more businsess associated with this date than she’s ever had to turn down before. The novelty of the date began generating interest during the middle of last year. Most locations where you can book weddings offer two to three times during the day for ceremonies or receptions and most of them are booked up.

The greater demand for this date is creating a greater price for all types of services from the caterers to the venues to the florists to even the attire. So if you are looking for a frugal wedding date, chances are that 7/07/7 is not the date for you.

It doesn’t hurt that July 7th is also the first Saturday in July and it’s also a holiday weekend following July 4th, across the board, it’s a hot date for wedding planners. One local engaged couple, identified as Candace and Michael booked their wedding date 18 months ago – and they chose 7/07/7 because they got engaged on a trip to Atlantic City.

Are you planning to get married on July 7th, 2007? I’d love to hear from you!
