Author Interview – Carole Thayne: Plans for the Future

cacWe have been chatting with LDS suspense author Carole Thayne. If you missed parts one, two, or three, click here.

Carole, you have two published novels but they have both gone out of print. (They can still be purchased through Amazon.com and through Carole’s website.) Do you have plans to write in the future?

I have written two books since my last one and am currently writing another one. My third book is another spin-off and is set in Grouse Creek. Three elderly ladies are the main characters, but my publisher rejected that one. Everyone who has read it loves it, so I’m still looking for a publisher. It might be my favorite–for now. My fourth book is a diversion and takes place in the town we live in now, Paradise. It’s a romance, has fun characters, and intertwines a lot of the Shoshone and Pioneer history in Cache Valley, although it is contemporary. That book, unfortunately was rejected by my publisher as well, so I’m hoping to find a home for it too.

Now I’m working on a fast-paced suspense story that takes place in Yellowstone National Park. The main character is a young summer employee and within the first few weeks of work while working a bear jam, a bear is shot and killed in a sniper type killing. Within days another bear is shot and the mystery begins.

Thank you so much for joining us, Carole! It was a pleasure to chat with you.

Don’t forget to visit her website, and be on the lookout for her new releases as they come forth. She’s a talented writer; I’m sure it won’t be long before she’s back on the shelves.

Just as a note of reference: Carole’s full name is Carole Thayne Warburton, and you will see her listed as such on her site. However, there is another Carol Warburton who writes for the LDS market, and so to avoid confusion, Carole goes by her maiden name of Thayne.
