Balance Bike for Toddlers

When my husband and I started dating he took me to a supercross race in Anaheim. I knew about motocross, but hadn’t watched a race before. Motorcycles really weren’t my thing. I was excited about spending the night with him, but would have liked to bring a book along with me.

I was not prepared for how much fun we were going to have. Being in the stadium with all the people was a blast. I don’t enjoy sports, so I hadn’t been to many games. I’d been to a number of stadium concerts and was a regular theater-goer. The people at the supercross were different. They were all very friendly and everyone had a good time. Chris and I had so much fun that the race turned into an annual event. My family had it easy when Christmas came because whoever got Chris’s name in the gift draw could give him tickets to supercross and he was happy. We kept up the tradition in Texas too.

Chris rode motocross when he was a boy. He got his first motorcycle when he was ten and rode in some of the races for kids. He enjoyed it and kept riding into adulthood. He wasn’t able to move into professional racing, though, because he never could lose the fear.

We could get our toddler started on the road to motorcycles now. The KTM Strider PREbike is made for children as young as 18 months. The PREbike is an ATV that is designed to give children the confidence and skill to move on to bigger bikes. Children learn balance without training wheels.

We have not been to supercross since the children came. We’ve discovered that there are very few things we want to do without them and pay a sitter. I’m sure Chris can’t wait to take Jessie to her first race.
