1/4 pound butter
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
2 cups cherries, undrained
1/2 cup sugar
Melt butter in an 8-inch square cake pan. In a bowl, mix all other ingredients, except the last 1/2 cup sugar. Pour over melted butter. Empty the 2 cups cherries over batter and then sprinkle the 1/2 cup sugar over cherries. Bake the cobbler at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done.
