Budget Saving Hotel Deals in Boston

Spring hasn’t exactly sprung in Boston, which is why if you have ever dreamed of visiting the historic city, but lacked the cash to do so this is the time to go. Winter deals abound in Beantown and while you may have to maneuver your kid’s stroller around a few snow banks to get to the city’s most popular attractions your efforts will be justly rewarded. Hoteliers are trying to fill as many rooms as possible during the months of January-March and in the process are offering the following spectacular lodging deals:

Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel

The brand new 471-room property is offering a discount of up to 50 percent for weekend stays from February 15th thru March 22nd. The contemporary hotel has a fitness center, a pool, spa-treatment rooms, and a restaurant. What’s more, its location can’t be beat. It’s situated on the South Boston waterfront and close to attractions such as the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Boston Children’s Museum, the New England Aquarium, and the Harpoon Brewery. Travel deals start at $149 per room per night.

The Colonnade Hotel

The Colonnade is known around Beantown as the hotel with the city’s only rooftop pool. And from now until the end of March the property is offering Frosty Friday packages, which include a two-night stay in the hotel. The deal also features hot chocolate for two at Brasserie JO, complimentary overnight parking, and a choice between two complimentary tickets to the Old Town Trolley or admission and skating rentals for two at the Boston Common Frog Pond Skating Rink. The special is good on a two-night stay and the amount you pay is up to Mother Nature… sort of. The rate for Saturday night is $349, and the price you’ll pay for your Friday night stay corresponds to the temperature outside, as determined by a 5 p.m. reading by the National Weather Service; you’ll be charged one dollar per degree Fahrenheit. Clever!

463 Beacon Street Guesthouse

If you plan to be in town for at least a week I would highly suggest checking into the Guesthouse. It’s located on a busy residential street near Harvard Bridge, but once you’re in your room you won’t notice the hustle and bustle going on outside. Each guest room features king-size beds and big bay windows, though some rooms have shared bathrooms. Rates start at $59 per room per night or $295 per week (seven nights) through the end of February and from $79 per room per night from March to December (no weekly discount is offered during this time period).
