Business and the iPad

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
I make no secret about how much I love my iPad. When I upgraded my phone to the iPhone, I fell in love and knew an iPad was in my future. I once joked that if the iPhone was a man, I would marry it. Well, if the iPad was a man, I may just commit adultery. My love for these Mac products has caused many to ask me questions about the products. I always have to make it clear that my iPhone and my iPad are not game devices. I don’t even have Angry Birds on my phone and tablet and can’t get enough. That’s right, no Angry Birds, no Temple Run, or whatever the hottest new game is at the current time. I love it for business….yes business.

I was recently asked a few questions that I will share with you.

What apps do you use for blogging?

I use Blogsy. So far it is the only app I have needed to publish posts on my blogs. You type up your post easily, add pictures from your files, image hosting accounts, or the Internet (drag and drop), add links, and format, all from the Blogsy app. You can also publish or save as draft directly from the app. You can add as many blogs as you want and it is compatible with all the major blogging platforms.

What apps do you use for business?

I use Pages for freelance writing. It allows me to write up an article and either send it via email as a doc file or PDF file. I can also simply copy and paste from it.

I love Dropbox. I have it synced to my iPad, iPhone, and PC. Tip: if you have a Mac computer or laptop you may just want to use the iCloud. With Dropbox, I carry all my important files with me on my tablet!

PayPal is a must app for anyone using it as a way to manage her earnings. It is simple to use and you can send or request money directly from the app.

Any advice?

I have found that going through the Safari browser is far more efficient then using the Facebook app. The Facebook app is great for the iPhone but I prefer the actual site over the app on my iPad. Without the app you will not get notifications though. That actually does not bother me one bit.
