Care of Your Floors

We have tackled a couple of housekeeping tips in our living areas but will end with the care of floors. Some living areas are carpeted and some have hardwood floors. So the type of care you give to your floors will depend on this.

I only have hardwood floors, with just a couple of rooms in my entire house being carpeted. So I don’t do much with vacuuming and when I do, I use a fairly common type of vacuum. From what I understand however, the dream machine to own if you have carpeting is a Dyson.

All you Dyson lovers out there forgive me, but to me a vacuum is a vacuum. So I had to do a little research on this one and discovered that a Dyson cleans better than other types of vacuum cleaners, is easier to use, comes with features that are more accessible, lasts longer, and uses cyclone technology. This eliminates those disgusting bags that you never know are full until the vacuum stops picking things up.

It can apparently clean everything you want effectively, from not just your carpets but your car or even the walls and furniture. The downside to the Dyson is the price but from what I understand, it is well worth the extra cash.

Now if you have hardwood floors, I can’t recommend enough the Shark Steam Cleaner. I absolutely love my Shark Steam Cleaner and I not only use it on my natural hardwood floors in my living room and dining room, but it also works great on the laminate flooring in my kitchen and the ceramic tiling in my bathroom.

It is so easy to use and gets up scuff marks and even dried paint (thanks to my children). Not only does it clean but it sanitizes my floors as well.

What I also love about the Shark Steam Cleaner is that it eliminates the need for chemicals and I can just wash the cloth, instead of spending money on cleaning products.

Best of all, I can go over my floors and within seconds, be able to walk on them. I don’t have to wait for them to dry.

What products do you use to take care of your floors?
