Cats and Dogs: Let the War Begin

When I come home at night my dog always seems to have a guilty expression on his face. What has he been doing all day? While I would like to think that my little fur ball spends his days napping, chances are he does a lot of things during the day that I would prefer not to know about.

In the movie “Cats and Dogs” the cats and dogs spend their days running elaborate plots and secret missions and running surveillance out of their dog houses and homes. In the movie a man is working on a cure for dog allergies. If he is successful then he will be able to make it so no human is allergic to dogs. Sounds like a great plan, who wouldn’t want to rid he world of dog allergies? Cats of course!

The cats in the movie want to get to the mans formula and alter it so rather than making everyone is the world not allergic to dogs, they would instead make it so everyone in the world has a dog allergy. If everyone in the world is allergic to dogs, then they will have to get rid of all the dogs allowing cats to take over the world.

I thought this movie was absolutely hilarious. When it came out in 2001 it didn’t get the best of reviews, but I can remember going to see in the theater and laughing hysterically. My absolute favorite part of the movie was when the ninja cats showed up, the ninja cats have some matrix like moves that make them absolutely fantastic.

There is some mild peril and violence, and secret plotting in this movie, but overall I think it is reasonably wholesome and appropriate for children of all ages.
